Welcome to My New Travel Blog

‘Don’t Listen to What They Say. Go See.’

I have picked this little project up so many times then dropped it due to distraction or the worry that a) No one really wants to read what I am doing, b) it seems a little arrogant.

But this project is supposed to be my way of keeping up with everyone (on what I am doing and where I am, I still want to hear from everyone else though! (You know who you are) This isn’t a one sided story, nothing ever is!) I worry people feel distanced from me, and, apart from calling often, this is my solution!

Currently I am sat on a cloudy day in Vanuatu, with a wine and all I want to do is tell you all how much I love this place already after just a week. So for my next rant……..

I hope you appreciate my little blog, please feel free to leave comments for or against it, just for entertainments sake.

In Case You Don’t Actually Know What I do

So you all know that I live on a boat and travel to weird and wonderful places. I won’t talk about the job as to be honest, its just cleaning and serving, it just happens to be with a good view!

While we work 12 hours a day when we are pleasing the guests, fortunately we only do that about 7 trips a year at around 10 days a go (excluding trips to the bosses chalet in France). The rest of the time we look after the boat, keep her respectable and make sure she’s still floating while getting her from port to port. So there is time to explore and to forget that we are only in that place to work. Unfortunately this does include visiting the local waterholes, fortunately I will relay little of what happens their unless its really juicy 😉

What I want to tell you is the beautiful places I get to see and what I get so distracted with and why I haven’t yet made my way back to the motherland (though thoughts of Brexit fiasco’s and the wet cold days help a little too)

I can’t promise that it is all that interesting what I do get to see, most of the time i am thinking of when i can go back to the these places and see all that I didn’t get to see the first time!
